Short company description:
ekoz.ai has developed the infrastructure to deliver personalized host read podcast ads at scale programmatically. Host read ads perform exponentially better than a pre-recorded ad but the marketplace for their delivery is friction filled and manual. ekoz uses voice cloning and generative AI to automate the entire process and unlock what is a $13B gap in the podcast ad space.

Short company description:
I provide consultative services for companies looking for strategic guidance that drives business development, growth, scaling, revenue acceleration, digital marketing and implement AI native ad and martech stacks
How is AI transforming the way businesses approach customer engagement and personalization?
Avallone: Our system utilizes AI to develop personalized scripts for each host in our network.
Reed: AI is shifting customer engagement from segment-based marketing and scripted service toward one-to-one interactions that adapt in real time. The main changes: Personalization moves from segments to individuals, Conversational AI has replaced the old chatbot, Human agents get real-time assistance, Content and creative production scale up, Prediction makes engagement proactive, Search and discovery are changing.
Can you give an example of an AI-powered tool or strategy that’s made a significant impact on your work?
Avallone: In addition to the solution itself, we have a proposal generation system that designs campaign proposals for marketers in our system.
Reed: Gumshoe.ai is a tool that enables me to audit a companies AI Visibility Ranking, provides the AI Visibility Ranking of all of its competitors in the respective competitive set, how they rank for the queries their target audience is asking and how to optimize
What ethical considerations do you keep in mind when integrating AI into your processes?
Avallone: Our solution places trust and ethics in the forefront – hosts exclusively retain their voice for use solely in their show and approve every ad before it is placed in their show dynamically.
Reed: Most of these considerations come down to one question: would customers still be comfortable if they saw exactly how you were using AI on them including:transparency and disclosure, data privacy and consent, manipulation and vulnerability and the accuracy and honesty of content.
What excites you the most about the future potential of AI in your field?
Avallone: AI unlocks creativity and productivity at scale. Next, we plan to embed video capability.
Reed: For me, it’s the possibility that marketing finally becomes more useful to the people receiving it. For most of its history, marketing has been a blunt instrument. You shout at a large audience, most of it ignores you, and a small fraction converts. A lot of what we’ve all learned to tune out, like irrelevant ads, generic emails, and offers for things we just bought, is a byproduct of companies not knowing enough about us or not being able to act on what they knew. AI changes both constraints at once. The version of this I find most compelling looks less like better targeting and more like marketing that works like a knowledgeable advisor
