What is the biggest change in marketing that you see coming in the next 2 years?
The pandemic has accelerated the shift toward the “metaverse.” In one way or another, we are all now living in virtual reality, personally and professionally and we will be even more vested in the next two years. We are already deeply engaged in our mobile phone experiences and as metaverse devices get smaller, it makes sense virtual worlds will get bigger.
What is one tip that you would give when it comes to digital marketing?
Engagement is the key in all areas of marketing. Find ways to draw your audience in by optimizing your content for engagement and think about who your audience is. For example, you want to tell your brand story more formally when sharing on a platform like LinkedIn, while you can curate the same message for Instagram with infusion of entertainment and humor. Humor never gets cut.
What are the major challenges that you (and/or other advertisers) face today?
At Geniecast, we approach challenges as opportunities, and they really are. With so much content being created and consumed daily, it’s easy to get lost in the noise. We have found that when we focus on sharing what we do best, our analytics spike. Instead of being reactive with our marketing, we are intentional.
What are the most effective advertising tactics and/or media for your company?
Focusing on trends and for the foreseeable future, the trend is hybrid. As trendsetters ourselves, we make sure that our messages are conveyed in ways that connect with our audience. As innovators, we regularly dare to disrupt conventional thinking by offering innovative solutions to common problems in virtual events production and talent management.
What are the major challenges that you (and/or other advertisers) face today?
Because of the pandemic, which forced a swift shift to virtual solutions, our advertising prospects understand why they need what we offer, so it has been one of the best times for our industry. Virtual and hybrid are now a way of life for event planners, and more importantly, attendees expect to have the option of tuning in from anywhere.
