What is the biggest change in marketing that you see coming in the next 2 years?
I will single out 2 factors, although there are many more of them:
1) Authentic content will gain more and more popularity – that is, live, unpolished content, live broadcasts, live examples, live mistakes on live broadcast, not be afraid to be imperfect – all this is very positively assessed by the audience and will only gain momentum.
2. Partnerships and collaborations are a trend that has been actively developing since the beginning of the pandemic and is currently evolving as one of the key business development tools. Often this method gives rise to very interesting collaborations that attract customers and are well monetized.
What is the advantage to working with an outside media buyer as opposed to having just an internal marketing director?
First, the outside media buyer has a broader horizons in his field through collaboration with clients from different business areas. Due to this, the outside media buyer can offer new unique solutions.
Secondly, the outside media buyer has a team that can work on the marketing task of the company, this allows you to conduct high-quality brainstorms and identify unique ideas, spending as much time as required. While the internal marketing director has many other tasks that can distract him. Therefore, the outside media buyer is a unique assistant valued by corporations.
How does a media buyer stay on top of trends with media placement?
I don’t know how to say it correctly in English, but it’s important to be «Well–watched”. To be “Well–watched”, that is, to tirelessly absorb as much visual as possible in a particular area of creativity with your eyes in order to form taste and style. You should always monitor the quality of the content you view and mark new tools for your business in it. That is, constantly develop a visual experience, analyze what you see and navigate the trends.
