What nonprofit do you feel makes the greatest impact in our community?
In the community I’m in, it’s the University of Missouri School of Law Veterans Clinic. They provide free legal services for our veterans and their families navigating the VA Claims and Appeals Systems.
What volunteer experience has impacted you the most?
My work with the Veterans Clinic has been tremendously impactful as well as my volunteer work with Hospice in NYC. It’s a way for me to provide a living tribute to my late father Major General Roger E Combs and the work he did to help and mentor others during his lifetime.
What’s your favorite way to get involved in the community?
When it comes to insurance, I work hard to be a local resource in the community and have recently been doing talks for the Queens Chamber of Commerce where I live. As for the military community, I try and be an ambassador to the Veterans Clinic to help share their message. I find with both aspects of my life, often times people just don’t know where to go for information, so I try to be a resource when I can.
