What nonprofit do you feel makes the greatest impact in our community?
Honestly, I don’t have enough details to make an assessment. Off the top of my head I’d have to say Habitat for Humanity International.
Most recently, though, I became Executive Director of the Live and Let Live Foundation and Movement (https://liveandletlive.org), with 30+ chapters in 20+ countries already in progress upon my entry in March of 2022. I feel we’ll make the greatest impact over the next decade or so as we organize and empower people to help change laws and legislation that allow aggression while offering opportunities to learn how to be a better human being in the process.
What volunteer experience has impacted you the most?
Board Member/Conference Chair (2010) – Phoenix Chapter of ASTD (now TD.org). Titled ‘The Shift: Challenge to Change – Removing Liabilities, Limitations and Excuses in the Workplace’
Producer/Host of One World in the early 90s, a Christown Lions Club production. I interviewed people from all walks of life regarding how they got where they are, the inner and outer promptings that got them there, what fears they encountered and, most importantly, how they overcame them.
What’s your favorite way to get involved in the community?
Listen first. Ask questions about what’s missing, listen even more and respond with possibilities to coagulate and, when given the opportunity, facilitate the activity.
