Summer can pose different challenges for each business. There is a shift in behavior and smart marketers adjust their strategy for this season. Whether a business is attempting to refresh their marketing, reach new audiences, or try something completely new, this group of experts should help spark some new ideas. We asked our expert guests for some tips to help make the following months a success.

Gus Wagner from RocketGroup, LLC, reminds us that people are going to be at events and outside, so finding the audience means being where they are. Wagner says much of their work shifts to event marketing, “We’re stressing the fun, the low cost, the community value…” Wagner is convinced that knowing the audience allows them to get the right message to the audience.

Even in the summer, it is focusing on one person for Richard Cuff from CTI Marketing. Cuff says, “There is always only one person that is ideal to hear your message.” A business must identify the person that needs what the business offers. “Start there!,” emphasizes Cuff.

However, it could be time to try something new. Nadia Kaminskaya from Branding Bosses has given her clients unexpected success. Branding Bosses does a deep dive during the initial process to learn everything about about a new client. “To become their team” specifies Kaminskaya. This process builds trust which Kaminskaya puts to good use implementing new platforms. She says, “The results they see and the growth in their business, just from something as simple as implementing a new platform, is astounding to them.”

Bigger does not mean better in the world of James Ingrassia from Oxford Road. No matter the season, location is more important when advertising on podcasts. “We develop a plan that goes very deep;” Ingrassia elaborates “You might be on a very small show, but it maybe one of your top performers because you know that you are reaching that perfect audience.”

And even though seasons change, it is important to always ask “What is the objective?” says Dayne Kuhlmann from Victory Media. There are a lot of things an agency can do, but in Kuhlmann’s experience “It has to match what the clients actual goals and objectives are.” He says, “That is the most important thing we discover.”
