What is the biggest change in marketing that you see coming in the next 2 years?

To me, the biggest change in marketing coming over the next two years are the following:
1. The solidification of a hybrid model in combination with live streaming.
2. Employee engagement and its intricate ties to DEI.
3. Social media’s heavy stance on influencer culture.

Are their any trade organizations or groups that you belong to?

Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) – New York Chapter and Public Affairs and Government Section.

New York Women in Communications

Fyli Mastermind Cohort – Entrepreneurship

What is the advantage to working with an outside media buyer as opposed to having just an internal marketing director?

To me, every company has their preferences. I think it’s just a matter of structure, budget, and mission alignment. An outside media buyer and an internal marketing director each have their benefits. What it comes down to is what exactly is their game plan and how to best execute it.

What is one tip that you would give when it comes to media planning?

My tip will be to always have a clear plan when formulating a campaign and measure your success by tracking engagement.

How does a media buyer stay on top of trends with media placement?

As with every PR communicator, following trends is incredibly important to stay on top of the industry. Social media, reading trade outlet magazines, newspapers, blogs, among others, heavy involvement in affiliations are some of those ways.
