How has consumer behavior shifted in the digital age?More consumers believe they can build a website on their own for less cost, and to a point, that’s true. What they miss is everything underneath the surface: email deliverability tools like Resend, 24/7 uptime monitoring, and ongoing SEO and Google Search Console management that builds local credibility and drives site growth. The digital age makes DIY look easy, but the parts that actually grow a business are the parts people don’t see.
What strategies are you using to create more authentic brand connections? We stay hands-on after launch instead of disappearing once a site goes live. Every client gets ongoing communication, monthly SEO work, and direct access to us for changes, not a ticket system or a call center. As a veteran-owned company, we also lean into that identity honestly in how we talk to clients: straightforward, no upsell tactics, no locking people into contracts they can’t get out of.
Can you share a recent campaign that exceeded expectations?AGES Tree Service came to us with no website at all. Within three months of launch, combined with consistent Facebook posting and targeted promotions, they saw a 4x increase in revenue, a surge of new customers, and a major boost in both search and social traffic. We set clear goals with them from day one and hit our early milestones faster than projected. Their local credibility is stronger than it’s ever been, and we’re now focused on long-term growth together.
How do you measure the effectiveness of your marketing initiatives? We track results at the client level, not just vanity metrics. That means monitoring Google Search Console for indexing and search visibility, Google Business Profile insights for local search performance, uptime and site health through our monitoring tools, and direct outcomes like lead volume and conversion trends month over month. If a client’s traffic or leads aren’t moving in the right direction, we treat that as a signal to adjust, not a report to file away.
What trends are shaping the future of advertising? Three shifts stand out for 2026. First, AI is moving from experimentation to core infrastructure. AI now sits at the center of how campaigns are planned and executed, supporting content creation, performance optimization, and customer targeting, with marketers increasingly expected to interpret data and guide strategy rather than just execute tasks.
Second, discovery is fragmenting away from traditional search and paid reach. Third-party cookies, household IDs, and IP-based targeting can no longer deliver reliable scale or accuracy, and people are moving toward micro-communities where authenticity and relevance drive more engagement than reach, with brands winning by showing tangible value instead of promotion. For local service businesses, that means Google Business Profile visibility, local search performance, and genuine customer engagement matter more than broad ad spend.
Third, trust is the currency. People want content that feels human, grounded in local culture, and sparks real connection rather than polished corporate messaging.
How are you integrating AI or automation into your campaigns? We use AI and automation across nearly every stage of client work. We build client websites using Lovable, an AI-assisted development platform, which lets us move faster from concept to launch without sacrificing quality. For research, documentation, and client communication, we use Claude and Copilot, and NotebookLM helps us organize and synthesize research for SEO and content strategy. We’ve also built custom automation agents using Claude that handle recurring Facebook posting for clients, keeping their social presence active and consistent without manual, day-to-day management.
What advice would you give to aspiring marketers today?Push the boundaries and don’t be afraid to fail. We’ve had months where we signed one new customer and months where we signed six. We’re small, but we’re growing. JD and I always come back to the same question: what if we’d never tried? Marketing changes constantly, but every shift is an opportunity to get better at serving whatever industry you’re in.
