What is the biggest change in marketing that you see coming in the next 2 years?

Reaching the 5 (6?) generations, and demographics within each, for brands and their campaign/product. The sheer number – and variety – of places/platforms for people to get information presents a sometimes overwhelming challenge for marketers.

What is one tip that you would give when it comes to digital marketing?

Know Your Audience. I realize that is, or could be, contradictory to above, but honestly, narrow it down. Do your research. Don’t assume, and don’t be greedy!! Your message makes an impact so much more effectively when you know more details about your audience.

What are the major challenges that you (and/or other advertisers) face today?

So, as a follow up to above, finding your audience. This is such a huge part of the discussions at studio level and streamers. Ad buying on your own platform is a given – where do you go outside of that? How do you craft the content to be spot on for that audience once you identify it? And lastly, how do you budget for that without bankrupting yourself (and disappointing your client)?

How is the trend towards streaming television (CTV) impacting your advertising strategies?

Personally, I love it – I feel like we are entering a new frontier (not just streaming but Web3 as well). It blows open all of the old, dry, standard practices we were falling into. Now, I get to be as creative as I want to be, and I pitch some wild ideas that get the greenlight far more often now.

What are the most effective advertising tactics and/or media for your company?

Influencer marketing/engagement, SMM, Event marketing, Email marketing (surprisingly an oldie but a goodie), Content marketing

What tactics do you find to be the most effective in getting your message or your customers’ message heard?

Targeted influencers for the specific fandom I am engaging, talent, never before seen content, giveaways
