What is the biggest change in marketing that you see coming in the next 2 years?
The public will continue to seek out brands that are more authentic. Brands that they hold in high regard, that are based in integrity and the ones who go out of there way to serve the needs of others. There’s a lot of mistrust out there in regards to cooperations and a lot of that is compounded by the fact people believe everything around them is controlled by some type greed. I recently worked on a campaign leading up to a big launch where we needed to collect emails to use. In the comments where lots of people wondering if this was sort of scam. It wasn’t at all but the public is so use to these kinds of things that they are on high alert. I also recently read articles on a tiktok channel who presumed did a good act of kindness, which later on proved to not be so at all but only appeared to be. They did it for the views but hadn’t actually delivered in real life.
What I find now and what I believe will continue to grow on both the influencer and on the corporate level is intent with clear purpose fueled by motives that are based in to be based in we actually do this or we create products with the purpose of making everyone’s life better.. and this is a culture that we are about and here test us to see. Now that sticks out.
What is the advantage to working with an outside media buyer as opposed to having just an internal marketing director?
Internal teams sometimes don’t have the necessary financials to put towards hiring someone in-house or sometimes they are simply overwhelmed with working on multiple projects at once and there’s a need to have someone who can solely focus on one thing to help get the job done.
