What nonprofit do you feel makes the greatest impact in our community?
I’m a huge fan of organizations that work with young people from diverse communities to create connections and relationships. Allittakes.org and RisingSun.org are two I’m involved with.
What volunteer experience has impacted you the most?
I spent two summers during undergrad working with an international leadership program for teens called Camp Rising Sun. It’s an organization devoted to creating more humanitarianism in the world across cultural and socioeconomic barriers, and it impacted my career path and purpose even to this day.
What’s your favorite way to get involved in the community?
I’ve really enjoyed helping my kids’ organizations and activities get the word out about what they do. For my son’s lacrosse team, I worked with volunteers to create better sponsorship packages and also announced home games for 4 years, then trained my daughter to take over!
