What nonprofit do you feel makes the greatest impact in our community?
Helping others gets the best in people including myself. What can be more impactful into the countries’ future then helping displaced war children to become stronger emotionally, physically and mentally. The Ukraine crisis has displaced around 15 million people since February 24, 2022. A child from Ukraine has become a refugee almost everywhere single second of the war. Displaced children are at risk of hunger, illness, trafficking, and abuse. We all can make a difference by donating to support these traumatized children in need of shelter, food, basic hygiene, and education.
What volunteer experience has impacted you the most?
When the war started and Russia has attacted Ukraine we had the chance to leave the country but then decided to stay and support the refugees by setting up Send Love to Ukraine, a registered charity recognised by the Ukrainian government. I was helping displaced people who were arriving in thousands on so called evacuation trains arriving at night from the military zones. Seeing those traumatized people running often with just shirts on their backs, mostly mothers with children had very big impact on me
What’s your favorite way to get involved in the community?
Offering my expertise and knowledge, accumulated during my life and work, helping people using my vast networking of generous and great people. Helping disadvantaged to become more resilient by showing them the knowledge and skills and techniques I use to do myself. Making them stronger and more resourceful
