Return on investment is often the primary concern for every business. It is no different when it comes to digital marketing. Every business and marketer wants to find the best value for the money spent, or the most effective way to generate conversions. This week our hosts asked our guests where each of them thought their advertising dollars would be best spent. Our guests gave a variety of answers on this topic and may not be what you expect.
Each product, company, and customer is different and there are different factors to consider when attempting to achieve the best use of your marketing. Josh Felber from Primal Life points out that they have had to make many changes over time, but have found “Influencer Marketing” best fits their product and the audience they want to reach.
For Elliot Freeman from Skratch Labs, the potential customer needs to experience their products first-hand and in-person is the best way to go for them. “One of the big ways we do marketing is by going to events,” says Freeman. Having customers sampling their products is complimented with a normal suite of digital marketing and paid media.
Following suit, Dakota Walker from VettX is also taking a similar approach of getting in front of their target audience in-person, and combining it with a healthy dose of e-mail. Walker says, “We market to dealerships specifically,” and for Walker that means going to trade shows and anywhere the client will be.
However, Akash Vatsa from iCW Technologies finds that Google is the best place for marketing in general. The location of a target audience is the key factor in determining where to spend marketing dollars, so Vatsa does not think that Google is always the right choice for every client, “It depends on their niche.”
Ian Nyquist from Refine USA leans heavily toward social media and the advantage that micro-targeting provides. Nyquist points out that “If you do it right, you can plug-in to their artificial intelligence that Google and Facebook have spent billions and billions of dollars on.” Nyquist and our guests share more details and insights in each of their interviews.
