Each week on “Programmatic Champions,” our host talks to media experts across the country. This week they sit down with Marco Vitali from Sonic Lens.
Sonic Lens has created music intelligence to marry analytics, strategy and creative. A brand sound is a powerful voice. Every sonic touch-point is an opportunity to expand a brand’s halo and personality. Each holds potential branding and engagement opportunities. Sonic Lens believes this complex sonic-sphere is a new frontier, and that it deserves a sophisticated, disciplined and truly strategic approach.
It’s too important to not get it perfect.

What is the biggest change in marketing that you see coming in the next 2 years?: I believe the rush to sonics will accelerate as voice shopping, smart speakers, podcasting, etc continue to grow and saturate consumer behavior. I believe digitization will continue to personalize communications and content and sonics will power customization at scale more than any other tool at marketers’ disposal.
What is your favorite advertising campaign that you have created for a client or participated in?: I’m probably most proud of our sonic branding of Aljazeera English. Having done our research during the process I can say with certainty they have the most holistic, sophisticated and flexible sonic branding in global news – and hopefully can serve as a model for tv network branding as a whole.
